Foundation Certificate in Resource Therapy
Self-Paced Foundation Training
In 2023 the International School of Resource Therapy moved to improve access to the Foundation training component of Resource Therapy study. Foundation training is the first step in understanding and working with Resource Personality Theory and Therapy. The Foundation program is designed to stand alone if needed and can enhance your understanding of RT's powerful trauma informed parts therapy model. This program is designed to cover a comprehensive introduction to Resource Therapy.
Completing the Foundation level of training also allows you to enter the full clinical qualification training program directly, or at any time in the future. It forms the first 12 hours of the 60-hour clinical program.
CPD points are granted for both Foundation and Clinical training in RT, as well as any further training attended. Please check with your respective association and regulatory bodies for more information. To date, we have not experienced a single refusal for PD credits from any association worldwide.
Our RT courses are designed to be generous in spirit and carry the sole purpose of teaching the highest caliber of trauma informed training available, exactly as Professor Emmerson designed the training to be taught. Enrollments include comprehensive course materials, class recordings for learning and reviewing purposes, PDF copies of Professor Emmerson's original PowerPoint slides, complimentary digital copies of Professor Emmerson's textbooks and self-care books and much more.
We remain true to RT's original model as taught by Professor Emmerson himself because we know the model is complete and works best when it is understood without carrying the brain clutter of mixing it with other models or ideas. Having said that, we have found many therapists who understand this model and who also choose to mix it with other models have achieved much value-added success from doing so. We have also witnessed some messy hybrid playgrounds that have not worked so well because of a lack of understanding of the fundamental theory and applications of RT.
Resource Therapy is worth learning and using as a complete trauma informed therapy in its own right.
Completing Foundation training, most attendees are eager to learn the complete therapeutic applications of RT. It is easy to access the Clinical training after starting with Foundation. Yet, if you are certain that you wish to complete the full clinical training with us, it is even easier to sign up for both at once, since the Foundation component is the first part of the Clinical training after all!
