About Anna Emmerson
Anna has been in private practice for over 25 years with extensive therapeutic experience in Australia and abroad. She has coordinated and managed RT Training events worldwide and was the first to bring Resource Therapy to the beautiful island of Bali, creating a tradition that continued right up until the Covid-19 pandemic interrupted travel schedules around the world.
Since face-to-face training was restricted during the Covid-19 pandemic, Anna initiated the development of online training programs encouraging training team collaborations to bring the best of RT to professionals around the world. In addition to this, Anna facilitated almost all of Professor Emmerson's RT related training engagements and programs from late 2013 to mid 2022 and was primary to Professor Emmerson's writing of major RT textbooks:
(i) Resource Therapy - Primer
(ii) Resource Therapy - The Complete Guide with Case Examples and Transcripts
(iii) Learn Resource Therapy - A student Training Manual
(iv) Resource Therapy Trainer's Manual
(v) Resource Your Therapy - Analyze Your Results - and Publish, and updated and edited
(vi) Healthy Parts Happy Self edited to reflect the new Resource Therapy updates.
Anna provided a full spectrum of support at the time of authoring via proof-reading, editing, collaborating with ideas, inspiration, development, and generalize 'wifedom' support throughout the process of writing and publishing.
Anna created and managed the Resource Therapy International website in early 2014, maintaining it on her own for the next 8 years; providing an educational landing space and community building hub for therapists, trainers and the public to learn more about and get the most out of Resource Therapy. She created directories and personal profile pages; providing a space for people to find RT therapists and training opportunities around the world. Anna Emmerson introduced, nourished and nurtured the concept of a caring interactive and supportive community of Resource Therapists worldwide by offering free services, providing networking and collaborative experiences and opportunities, including listings and profile pages showcasing existing and emerging RT therapists worldwide. Anna and Gordon Emmerson retired from their positions of Secretary, and Executive Director of multiple regions worldwide, and Gordon Emmerson's position of: President of Resource Therapy International passing on website management and other contributions to a new RT International Board formed in August of 2022.
In addition to her position as co-founder and secretary of the Resource Therapy International Association, Anna she held all duties of Personal Assistant, Training manager, and Practice Manager for Professor Gordon Emmerson from 2013 to 2021 in her role as a supportive wife and career partner, whilst continuing her own passion to provide excellence in therapy and education.
In 2021, Anna's only sibling, her beloved 'big brother' George become quadriplegic after a freak accidental fall in his home. This led to a yearlong bedside vigil for her supporting his tragic journey while she maintained her work commitments with Resource Therapy International, and her and Gordon Emmerson's training and private practice schedules. The outcome of this was, as often tragedy and fulfilling the needs of others can be, that Anna & Gordon Emmerson divorced.
After their divorce Anna consolidated her decade of work for the growth of RT by establishing a name for her educational and community strengthening practices: The International School of Resource Therapy which she retrospectively treats as an incentive dating back to 2014 when she first conceived of the space. Anna continues her legacy to provide a landing place for those wanting to ensure they receive pure Resource Therapy training according to the precise teachings of Professor G. Emmerson; following the accreditation guidelines set out by the association they co-founded.
In 2023, Anna received a not too surprising but much-anticipated late in life neuro-divergent assessment which led to her to the exploration of her unique advantages and disadvantages, helping her understand her strengths and limitations, as well as putting some interesting insights to much trauma and suffering. This was and is one of the greatest opportunities for growth and development Anna has received to date.
Along with her neuro-divergent adult daughter, Anna has developed a new incentive utilizing the personality theory and therapy of RT to develop another world-first therapeutic program and opening The Happiness Clinic, aka THC.
